The user can reasonably select the working parameters of the centrifuge according to the physical properties of the separated material (suspension), separation requirements, processing capacity, process requirements and other factors, so that more satisfactory separation effects and economic benefits can be obtained.

1. Characteristics of suspension materials

a, the larger the solid particles in the material, the easier it is to separate, the size of the solid particles is not the same, the small particle solid phase determines its final separation effect, the machine can generally remove more than 5um solid particles, the solid particles are especially fine hours, that is, they will not be separated out, and with the clarified liquid discharge; The final separation effect depends on the distribution of solid particles of the material, the more particles above 5um, the better the separation effect; On the contrary, the separation effect is worse.

b, generally crystalline solid and fibrous solid is easy to separate, flocculent, paste solid is difficult to separate, because the maximum water solubility of the flocculent paste solid phase is larger, the spiral push sludge, easy to slip and affect the separation effect, so the flow rate should not be too large when separating the flocculent and paste solid phase.

c, the greater the weight difference between the solid phase and the liquid phase, the better the separation, and the worse the separation effect

d, the smaller the viscosity of the liquid phase, the easier to separate, the higher the viscosity of the liquid phase, the more solid phase in the clarified liquid, the worse the separation effect, then the material temperature can be increased, reduce the viscosity to improve the separation effect (the maximum feed temperature is not more than 95℃.

2, feed flow (that is, processing capacity) selection

According to the separation point of view, the smaller the feed flow rate, the smaller the axial flow rate of the material in the drum, the longer the residence time of the material in the drum, the better the separation effect. With the increase of the feed amount, the axial flow rate increases, the retention time of the material in the drum decreases, the separation effect becomes worse, the feed amount of the centrifuge is also limited by the maximum slag discharge capacity of the spiral, the feed amount is too large, the separated sediment will not be discharged in time and cause the blockage of the drum, so it should be used according to the material characteristics, separation requirements and the solid content of the material. Select the appropriate feed flow, the general solid content is larger when the feed amount should not be too large, can be compared with the separation effect of various flows to determine the appropriate feed flow, generally for difficult to separate the recommended flow should not be too large, easy to separate the flow of the material can be larger, but pay attention to the maximum amount of slag discharge spiral, otherwise it will cause plugging.

3. Overflow diameter

If the overflow diameter of the drum is small, the settling zone is long, the drying zone is short, the water content of the solid sediment is high, the clarified liquid is clearer, and the separation effect is better. On the contrary, the larger the overflow diameter is, the drier the sediment is, and the separation effect is worse. In actual use, the overflow diameter should be reasonably selected according to the requirements of the moisture content of the solid sediment after operation experiment. The size of the overflow diameter can be adjusted by changing the overflow baffle of the large end cover of the drum, and the overflow baffle can be removed in the maximum diameter.

4, drum speed:

The higher the speed of the drum, the greater the separation factor, usually the better the separation effect, but the vibration and noise of the centrifuge will also increase, the life of the bearing will be reduced, the selection of too high speed is not economical, generally under the premise of meeting the requirements of the separation process, the appropriate speed is selected as the working speed.

5, screw and drum difference speed

The greater the difference speed, the greater the slag discharge capacity of the spiral, but the higher the moisture content of the sediment, the greater the disturbance of the spiral to the material, the worse the separation effect, but for the easily separated material, the larger the speed can be used to improve the slag discharge capacity of the spiral to improve the processing capacity, but the moisture content of the sediment will increase. Therefore, the size of the difference speed should be determined by the material separation test and process requirements.
