The plate centrifuge operates on the principle of sedimentation and centrifugal force to separate components in a liquid sample based on their density. When the centrifuge spins, the denser particles move outward and settle at the bottom of the rotating plates due to centrifugal force. Lighter components remain suspended or form distinct layers based on their densities. By adjusting the speed and duration of centrifugation, substances like cells, particles, or liquids can be effectively separated and isolated for further analysis or processing.
