Why are centrifuges lined with HALAR?
1. High temperature resistance (maximum operating temperature 150℃);
2. Strong acid and alkali resistance (PH value between 1~14)
3. Excellent adhesion (negative pressure can reach 0.09Mpa, vacuum effect)
4. Long service life (8 to 10 years under normal conditions, the warranty period is generally committed to 1 year)
5. Strong penetration resistance (hydrofluoric acid, chlorine gas, bromofluoric acid and other gases have good penetration resistance)
Main feature:
The materials separated by the centrifuge are all corrosive to a certain extent, and the materials in contact with the materials must meet the requirements of corrosion resistance to ensure safe use.
Types of structural materials: 304, 321, 316L, 904L, titanium plate, duplex stainless steel, etc.
Surface anti-corrosion treatment measures: PE lining, rubber lining, spraying HALAT, etc.
Customers should inform the manufacturer of the physical and chemical properties (chemical properties, temperature during separation, etc.) of the materials and washing and cleaning liquids, so that the manufacturer can propose the selection of centrifuge materials according to the characteristics of the separated medium, and Configure appropriate sealing rings, gaskets and filter cloths to ensure the anti-corrosion requirements of the centrifuge.
Why is the surface hardness of coatings important?
Because the higher surface hardness provides:
Better wear resistance (such as constant deposition and friction of solid particles or salts in use)
Better scratch resistance (eg avoid damage during installation)
This makes ECTFE a higher safety factor. During installation and transportation, the possibility of accidental damage to the ring is reduced and maintenance costs are reduced.
Why is the smoothness of the paint important?
The surface of Halar ECTFE, whether extruded, moulded or powder-coated, is exceptionally smooth, as evidenced by scanning electron microscopy or electron force electron microscopy.
The advantage of a smoother surface
Reduces the possibility of pinholes in the coating
Inhibits the accumulation of solid particles and metal salts and prevents clogging, much better than PP, PVC or FRP pipes
Reduced biofilm and bacterial formation, also demonstrated by biofilm results compared to electropolished stainless steel and other fluoropolymers.
